Wuwao is an independant production company founded in 2016 by Wim Forceville. Wuwao is a neologism from the Chinese Wuwei and the Portuguese suffix -ao which augments the noun.
Wuwei is literally the act of non-doing which can be understood as not behaving against your nature. This is a concept from early Taoism that involves knowing when to act and when not to act.
Wuwao focusses on the production of immersive ,engaging and interactive films and installations with an artistic and societal relevance.
